The Paragon of Beta's

Hello all,

So early last month the early access to the beta of the game Paragon was release. If you've read my "Top 10 Most Anticipated Games of 2016" blog, you might know a little about this game already. You might also know just a bit how excited I am for this game too. Now since the early access was announced I've been saving up to buy it. Once I was able to, I bought the Master Founder pack for the early access beta. I know you all must think I'm crazy for buying my way into just the beta when it doesn't even include the game when it comes out. In my defense I was just super excited for it. So I've been playing it off an on over the past week or so and I wanted to share my experiences so far with you all.

So to start out, for those who don't know, Paragon is a MOBA (Multiplayer Online Battle Arena) very much like League of Legends and Smite. If you haven't heard of those , it's like a team based strategy game where one team is fighting the other team to defeat the opposite teams core. One other thing to start out with, this is the first MOBA that I've played. I've never been a fan of League of Legends and I've only seen some gameplay of Smite. Excuse my bias-ness because I have thoroughly enjoyed this game so far. So below you'll find the announcement trailer for Paragon. I also put the trailer for the early access beta.

So when opening up the beta it's really easy to use. They give you plenty of tutorials on how to play the game as well as how to play each individual character. Now since this was my first time playing a MOBA I had no idea how things worked and I really appreciated the fact that they gave these tutorials. They also set a difficulty level for each character you play. One thing that is probably one of my favorite options of this game is that you can choose to play with/against computers, you can choose to do online co-op against computers, and lastly you can choose player v. player. This really helped me because the first couple games I had no idea what I was doing and I was just getting used to the character I've been wanting to play. After awhile I went into co-op and did really well, I got 14 kills, 2 deaths, and 10 assists. Now below is an example of one of the tutorial like videos that have on each character. Sparrow is my personal favorite hero to play.

I really enjoy the card system in the game because you can really change what your character is good at. For example in the video above they recommended a couple cards for Sparrow but I have tested a couple different one. You can also gain packs throughout playing so you can gain different cards that may boost your attack through a active ability in addition to the two passive abilities that you get. Check out below a game being played with my favorite character Sparrow.

That's all for today!
