Here at University of Advancing Technology (UAT) we offer a multitude of resources for our students to help them reach their goals and earn their degrees. One of those resources being student tutors. As it stands we have four tutors, specializing in Network Security, Advancing Computer Science, Math, Game Art & Animation, and General Studies. Keep reading to meet these helpful tutors.

Christopher Alsay - Network Security Tutor

Christopher is in his second year at UAT, and a double major in Network Security and Technology Forensics. He became a tutor after being approached for help by fellow students and discovered there was an available tutor position. He states " The best part about being a tutor is at the end of the tutoring sessions being thanked by fellow classmates." Watch the rest of Christophers spotlight interview below.

Preston Chapman - Advancing Computer Science and Math Tutor

Preston is at the end of his first year at UAT majoring in Advancing Computer Science. Preston chose UAT because he has always had a love for computers and while in high school he was accepted into the STEM Academy, as soon as he got that small school feel he knew UAT was the perfect fit for him. He says "A lot of benefits for students who have access to the tutoring, it allows for you, even if you're struggling in a small bit of a class or maybe a general thing, you have another person to reach out to." Check out the rest of Prestons spotlight interview below.

Rebecca Carson - Game Art & Animation Tutor

Rebecca is a Game Art & Animation major in her senior year at UAT. Rebecca chose UAT because of the cool environment and she wanted to spread her wings and see more of the United States. When asked about advice she would give to new students she said "Please don't be afraid to ask for help." Learn more about Rebecca below.

Taylor Kelty - General Studies Tutor

Taylor is a community college transfer in his junior year majoring in Game Design. Taylor chose UAT because his friend who had just graduated as UAT's 2022 Valedictorian, recommended the school to him. He said about choosing UAT "I have had so much fun doing this, I'm glad I picked it." Taylor talks more about being a tutor at UAT below.
