Welcome to University of Advancing Technology (UAT)! As you embark on your journey here, understanding how our support team can help you succeed is crucial. We spoke with our Program Support Specialists (PSS) to get their insights on how to make the most of your time at UAT. 

Meet the Team

Teagan Findler, who supports multiple departments including Advancing Computer Science, Digital Marketing and Human-Computer Interaction, shared her approach to student support. "I like supporting both the faculty and the students, It’s about creating a bridge between departments and ensuring students have the resources they need to excel."

RaLen Watson-Davis supports Game Art & Animation. He described his role saying, “I help support courses, provide feedback to students, and even teach classes alongside professors. It’s rewarding to see students develop their skills and achieve their goals.”

Christelle Cyprien, who supports Virtual Reality and the Student Innovation Project (SIP), highlighted the project-based approach at UAT. “One of the things about UAT is that we’re very project-focused. Instead of relying heavily on tests, we work on substantial projects throughout the semester,” Christelle explained. “Feedback Fridays are a big part of this. They allow us to guide students on their prototypes and final documents, ensuring they’re on the right track.”

The PSS Team offered some advice to students on how to excel here at UAT:

• Teagan emphasized, “The best way for you to be successful at UAT is to show up for class, participate actively, and turn in your work.”
• RaLen added, “Just turning something in is crucial. It shows that you’re making progress. The more you get used to submitting your work, the better you’ll get at it.”
• Christelle advised, “Reach out to your professors and support staff whenever you need help. We’re here to assist you, and contacting us as soon as you encounter a problem will make a big difference.”
