Restaurants

Going off of my last post about going out and doing things, I’d like to mention a few places that I’ve been to since I’ve been here. Granted, it isn’t very many, but I’m working on fixing that. Firstly, I’ll mention Stax in Scottsdale. It’s a little bit of a drive from the school, and worth it, if you have cash. I say cash specifically because we had issues wit hour cards there. So bring about $20 a person if you’re felling hungry. Lamb burger is my favorite. Here is their website: http://www.staxburgerbistro.com/

Besides Subway, Denny’s, Little Caesar’s Pizza, and a Chinese place being really close to the school, there’s also Lin’s Buffet down the street a little ways heading west. It’s like a 15-20 minute walk. It’s also another Chinese place, but better than the one across the street. Dinner is about $11 a person, but it is a buffet so it sounds like a fair price to me.

Republic Ramen is a pretty sweet ramen joint. They are about a 15 minute drive from the school. If you like all types of ramen, this is the place to go. The average price for a huge bowl of ramen is $7.

Happen to like sushi? There are tons of sushi places here, and I’ve only been to one so far. Teharu sushi is a pretty awesome place, and pretty cheap. It has a conveyor belt of sushi and they charge by plate. The most expensive plate is $2. I usually eat about 4-6 plates, so that’s not a bad price at all. It’s also like a 10-15 minute drive south of the school.

I love food so much. Expect to see a post about more restaurants when I visit some more.
