The Road to Evo: Part 2

Posted on May 19, 2017 10:18:43 AM by Austin Lee in Blogs, in Competition, in esports

Since the last blog, I’ve been practicing extremely hard to try and give the competition a run for their money. In case you didn’t read part 1, I’m headed to a major tournament called Runback. Big names such as SFAT, Shroomed, and Axe will be there and unless I’m playing in the top bracket, I’ll try and get a few signatures here and there since they’re one of the few reasons that I’ve continued playing this game.

    I'm Always Into Juggernog!

Posted on May 16, 2017 11:05:56 AM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello! and Welcome today is a wonderful day and that being said I'm excited to see that Zombie Chronicles has finally released on PlayStation and will soon be released on Xbox One. Call of Duty Zombies has been a huge part of my middle school/high school years endless rounds if bullets and zombags. I remember picking up my copy of Call of Duty World at War and enjoyed the campaign but then after I completed the campaign I saw that it unlocked a game mode called Nazi Zombies so I figured why not and started playing and immediately I was memorized by the game mode. I mean who wouldn't love fighting off hordes of zombies with all the older weapons like the PPSH or Type 100 and lets not forget about the MG 42 the even added a weapon called the ray gun which was just some fun and possibly the best gun at the time that map was called  Nacht der Untoten. I don't Treyarch realized what they have created but it was genius and would later would still be going on today in 2017.

Why you should be using Google Music

Posted on May 13, 2017 12:16:04 PM by Gage Roland in Geeky Stuff, in music, in Google

Believe it or not, I am a huge Google fan-boy, so take the following with that in mind. I have tried out a lot of streaming services, but here are some reasons I LOVE Google Music that some may not know about. I do not have any experience with the free version, so my review is on the subscription based version.

The Road to Evo: Part 1

Posted on May 12, 2017 2:22:55 PM by Austin Lee in Blogs

Ever since my last blog, I’ve been able to put in a purchase request to the school to (hopefully) fund my ticket for Evo. I sincerely hope that it gets approved because then I will be able to represent UAT at Evo which, in turn, is also a huge marketing opportunity in itself. I hope to do well enough to make it out of pools and possibly even compete against the best of the best to secure my spot as a ranked player.

    IT....Monster From Derry

Posted on May 9, 2017 10:08:32 AM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello all! What haunts your darkest nightmares for me it's Pennywise the Clown. I was so excited to see the new IT 2017 trailer drop , my first opinion was actually the sound design was perfect. I think that when making a horror movie the sound has to hit every beat correctly and needs to be chilling something that sounds a cold chill down your spine that makes you not want to move from your chair. A terrifying yet frighting. This helps because recently I'm trying to write a script for a horror movie but I don't want this to be jump scares what I want is a well developed horror movie that's interesting. I want to create suspense, something that makes people uncomfortable and at the same time I want them to stay for the end.

    Cooperative Storytelling

Posted on May 3, 2017 4:56:02 PM by Shawn McCoy in Blogs

Cooperative storytelling is something that I have always found great value in. With the amount of time I have spent playing dungeons and dragons, I feel like it is one of the best ways for people to come together and create something amazing. I am relating this to table top games as that is what I have the most experience with, however there are so many more kinds of cooperative storytelling. Improv theatre is one of the types I always find the most entertaining to observe, as it shows just as much about the person or persons taking part as much as it does the story.
