    RTX 2017

Posted on Jun 10, 2017 10:12:04 AM by Gage Roland in Blogs, in Rooster Teeth, in RTX

This summer I am excited to be joining a few friends from UAT to drive down to Austin, Texas this July 3rd to 10th to attend Rooster Teeth's RTX 2017! I have been a fan of their content since about 2009 and fall asleep to their podcast every single night. I am so happy to get an opportunity to take a week from school and work to finally attend one of their events! My goal is to see the RT Podcast, Achievement Hunter, Red VS Blue, and Founding Fathers panels (and anything Funhaus). I really have no other major plans other than attending the event and going with whatever is available at the time. There isn't much I wouldn't want to see.

The Road to Evo: Part 3

Posted on May 23, 2017 11:58:48 AM by Austin Lee in Blogs

This past weekend, I attended Runback 2017 and I can say that I had a lot of fun, learned a lot, met some new friends, and got a chance to talk to some of the best in the game! Being able to play new people outside of the usual two that I play with was great and made me open my eyes to new possibilities. I may switch mains, try new characters, and I might just find success with that.

    Wonder Woman

Posted on May 23, 2017 9:42:02 AM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello and Goodmorning! So as recently you all know that Wonder Woman is coming on June 1st and you can bet I'll be there this is the 4th movie for the DC Universe, So far we have had Man of Steel , Batman Vs Superman , Suicide Squad. All have been spectacular in my opinion and this just adds to Justice League.  Recently I have been on a comic book reading spree , mainly I have been reading DC Rebirth and Faith. Rebirth is excellent and Wonder Woman in Rebirth is different then we've seen her before she they added way more muscle because lets face it Wonder Woman has the strength close to superman. This is only fitting that she looks stronger. this makes her Rebirth character so much cooler.

When an AI writes a Sci-Fi Short Film

Posted on May 20, 2017 10:11:37 AM by Gage Roland in AI, in Blogs, in Digital Media, in Geeky Stuff, in computer science degree, in sci-fi, in short film

A filmmaker and a technologist walk into a film challenge...

Technologist Ross Goodwin and Director Oscar Sharp combined their professions to create an AI that could write a screenplay. Feeding the neural network hundreds of Sci-Fi scripts like 2001 A Space Odyssey, Alien, Blade Runner, Fifth Element, Avengers, Ghostbusters, Hellboy, and a ton other recognizable names, "Jetson," the AI, wrote a script. Interestingly enough, by the time Jetson was finished writing the script, he actually requested to be called "Benjamin."
