With New People Comes New Adventures

I was back from California in time for move-ins and orientation. This batch of incoming students has been really interesting to get to know. They seem so excited and enthusiastic to be at UAT, and I can’t wait to see what they do while they’re here. Orientation was a blast with these guys. I introduced my orientation group to a card game called “We Didn’t Playtest This at All.” It’s a pretty fun way to get people laughing about how ridiculous some of the cards are. My favorite is the “I lose” card. Somebody always puts it down, because the card dares you to play it. By the way, my orientation group got third place overall. Go Team Ulema!

This was the first week of classes for the new people (and for the old students, first week of the new semester). I have six courses this semester, so I might be a little busy between school and work, but I’m up for the challenge. I also got a new roommate. We get along great! We’ve already arranged our room in the perfect set-up, and we’re planning on getting some furniture for our dorm room.

By the way, if you’re wondering what happened, I made the silly mistake of not saving my journal entries as “active”, so I didn’t realize you guys couldn’t see my posts! Sorry about that!
