    Wedding Photographer

Posted on Mar 24, 2017 12:34:03 PM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello everyone I can now rest easy that my favorite time taking pictures of a wedding was a complete success! I wasn't excepting it to be so much fun, but I had a blast one of the best feeling was seeing a two families gather together for two people. When I first got there I was a mess trying to figure out what lens to use and I was a little freaked that was the only photographer. At first it was nerve wrecking but then I finally just started having fun with the different angles and talking to the groom about what kind of shots they wanted. I was very happy to see that there was a huge flower tree behind them which made the perfect back drop. I think in doing this I have found a new found passion I never thought being a wedding photographer could be so much fun but if you think about it these people are trusting you to get and take something that will be a treasure forever, that feeling is one of a kind. I know that I have much to learn but I want to get better and eventually become a professional. I loved being there the whole time just because everyone was laughing and having a great time even if its not my wedding or I may not know the people taking pictures allows me to be apart of something so big. I have to say my favorite moment is when both the groom and bride were laughing with each other and it was just endearing    and to capture that moment forever was just something that can't be put into words.

    Logan.. a Tragedy (Spoilers)

Posted on Mar 9, 2017 1:31:25 PM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello everyone! so I recently had the chance to see Logan again and before I took the chance I thought to myself how the movie made me felt the first time. My first impression of Logan was FANTASTIC! , this is what I was searching for in a Wolverine/X-Men movie. This has been Fox's second R-rated superhero movie the first being Dead pool and this went off with a huge success. I think Logan will surpass Dead pool just because not even comic book fans but all fans of these movies have watched Hugh Jackman from the beginning , for a lot of people this is going to be a very painful watch. One of my favorite scenes is right in the beginning with the small scrap Logan has with the car thiefs, the first interaction we see is Logan getting shot with a shotgun round that puts him right to the ground and at first I expected him to get up and start fighting but it took him some time to gather the strength to just get up and then the claws came out and he still got his butt kicked in the fight. I think this movie is a darker tragedy its not a happy movie it shows the struggle that Logan is faced and at the end he can't help anybody its truly a awful demise for such a an awesome hero.

    Art and some more Art.

Posted on Jan 31, 2017 9:43:20 AM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello all! So far this semester has been a huge success and blast, I'm very excited. So far this semester I have been pumping out art one of the newer things I modeled was stylized I took a inspiration from Rachet and Clank, this being one of my favorite game series when I was a child. I think overall it turned out great! I even finished in about a day so all I have to do now is texture and then I can put it on my portfolio. I think this is great just because its a break from anything else I modeled and I was able to learn a new style that I haven't yet. I think overall the design looks great if anything I might need to add something more on the main engine part but other then that , everything really turned out the way I wanted it too. I think the hardest part was the pipes connecting the main part of the saw and the blades , which was funny because that part took me a solid 5 minutes to figure it out.

    Music Shoot

Posted on Jan 20, 2017 12:06:44 PM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello all! The film shoot we had over the weekend went perfect, it was so great to have transportation instead of filming on campus. The only reason I like filming off campus is because its a great change of view instead of having the same old boring shots. The thing I liked most about filming off campus is all the different shots that I was able to get, I loved being able to play around with shots like , when we went to the Tempe Marketplace there was a section that had this mini waterfalls and I thought it would be perfect if my Actress Ciena would walk by them but I wanted two different shots as in a shoe shot. This shot would just entail Ciena walking through the mini waterfalls and just getting shots of her shoes then got a medium shot of her , so the shoe shot would cut
about half way into the medium shot. This would be blending both shots together , this was one of the funnest experiences I've had with filming and both me and James had the chance to Co direct and Co direct of photography. For this project to me it wasn't just about the editing but about the cinematography. I mainly focused on getting the best shots that I could get, since using natural lighting we had to wait for the magic hour. This is when the lighting makes everything just perfect. One of my favorite things about getting shooting this music video is we really get to explore the full power of editing in advid we went over some newer tools. Paul should us some useful shortcut tricks in class today inside of using the mouse he should us how to use the keyboard.

    New things..

Posted on Jan 12, 2017 10:15:29 AM by Jacob Turocy in Blogs

Hello all! This semester is going to be jammed packed with tons of learning experiences, adventures, and new opportunities. So far I had a majority of my classes and they are just the right fit for me. This semester is mainly follows Digital Video, which is perfect because this lets me focus on just Digital Video and for my art side I get a free reign on anything I can do anything which is fun plus I have more time to research and find newer techniques that I can apply. As for picture taking I really hope to develop more skills this semester a friend and I did some low exposure shots these were creative and fun. I would like to raise my skills higher I just need to do more photo shoots with different subject’s matters. I know for Digital video where we get to recreate a music video and I have the perfect song it’s by a Norwegian singer named Astrid S who until recently has been all I have been listening to, I think her voice just brings so much emotion and passion at the same time. For the music video I chose the song I don’t wanna know in the song she talks about how a relationship in the past that didn’t work out and sometimes both her and the boy want to reach out but they can’t because they know that it’s just not right like no matter what it won’t work out. So I got my friends Ciena and Dom as my actor and actress for the parts. James and I are going to work closely on this project to get the right shots and one thing that I have to make sure is that we get plenty of shots just so we have coverage. One of the exciting parts is that we have transportation so we can get shots down town and at shops and such which bring the video alive and springs creativeness. This is one of the projects I’m really excited to work on just because not only is it fun but we also get free reign on cameras we get to use. For this I already have some great shots planned out.[su_youtube url="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_Arg5m4zWM&index=5&list=PL2KzXsw9vn9B4SpSpu0927HQNxpI1ANxQ"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oi7KPDi_yQI&feature=youtu.be[/su_youtube]
