In a few days, I’ll be graduating from the University of Advancing Technology. This is somewhere I’ve met lifelong friends from all over the nation. This is somewhere I’ve learned about my passion. This is somewhere I called home for the better part of two years. This is where it all started.

With the week springing up on BlackHat and Defcon, there are a lot of security issues that people take for granted. In the Smash Bros. Community, competitive play is usually based off of good sportsmanship and fair play. For a game with no company support, an almost two-decade old console, and recent tournament mods to help improve the game, there would be tons of players that would use it for improvement and all the features it was intended for. There was one incident in North East Ohio (NEOH), that caused a stir-up in the community.
Hello! Diablo III's 11th season has begun and people are rushing to complete rifts upon rifts. There's a huge chance that people haven't slept yet. Starting on Thursday at 5PM, people rushed to create and build their characters. Some chose new classes, some chose fun classes, some chose optimal classes. So why is this important? Not to worry, I'll fill you in.
A few days ago, there was a post on the Arizona Melee Community group on Facebook. A player by the tag “Link” asked if anyone in Tempe wanted to play. Needing more practice, I didn’t hesitate at the opportunity to learn. A few more people asked if they could come as well and I figured why not since there would be more people to practice with. Players by the tags “Mr. N”, “Nerin”, and “Penguin” showed up as well. We practiced for all of a few hours, but in that time, I learned a lot about something that I never really thought about when playing Melee. Instead of learning to play with my hands, I learned to play with my brain.
Unfortunately, it’s true. Due to some complications, I won’t be able to go to Evo, but that doesn’t mean that the road has to end. The road simply has to go on for longer than what was originally intended. This isn’t about the destination, but the journey ahead. This might seem like a bit of a setback, but I see it as more time to improve.
Today is June 27th, 2017. Two huge things that have been teased and long in the making are releasing today! The first one being the second installment of Final Fantasy XV’s DLC; Episode Prompto. The second one being the Necromancer being released for Diablo 3. These are two things that I’ve been waiting for ever since their announcements and I can’t wait to get my hands on everything.
Choosing a main character in any game is never an easy task. Committing to one character is the only way to perfect a character in the shortest amount of time, especially in Melee. Different characters hold different mindsets and those mindsets are key to choosing a main. Choosing a main can vary from anything, be it wanting to be the most technical to choosing a character you love and learning them even if they aren’t high up on the tier list.
Earlier this week, Microsoft announced a wide array of exciting soon-to-be-released goodies. For one, the amount of games announced and hyped up is staggering. Speaking of games, all Original Xbox games are available for play on the Xbox One! Personally, I was a fan of the PS2 back in the day, but this is extremely exciting because that just broadens the amount of games that are made available to the player-base. Finally, the new Xbox One X has been announced. Although plenty of memes came along with the release of the new console, it’s the most powerful console to date. I’m extremely excited for the future of Microsoft and what they’re going to release.
